To create meaningfulness in individual lessons, they cannot merely be isolated learning situations Rather, lessons should be a reflection of broad and overarching learning goals; they should have a connectedness that related yesterday to today to tomorrow. Framing individual lessons around larger, unit-level goals provids this coherency and learning progressions that will aid students as they continually build knowledge and skills. Below are examples of unit plans that I have created. Each unit was designed to meet Common Core Academic Standards, overall unit goals, and objectives for specific topics and lessons.
